PowerSmart: Centralized Power System for Snow and Ice Equipment
The PowerSmart™ centralized power system from Certified Power Solutions simplifies the installation and wiring of truck-mounted accessories. Built as a 12-volt DC solid-state circuit assembly, PowerSmart provides a single connection hub for switches, sensors, relays, and Certified Power Solutions modules, streamlining power distribution and improving long-term serviceability.
Designed for modern snow and ice fleets, PowerSmart reduces installation time, minimizes wiring complexity, and standardizes truck body connections across multiple vehicle platforms and equipment sets.
Save Time and Simplify Installation
PowerSmart™ consolidates electrical wiring into one durable, clearly labeled power center. Its modular design helps installers quickly connect accessories and easily diagnose electrical issues, thanks to built-in LED indicators for voltage, fuses, and sensor states.
Key Benefits:
- Standardizes truck body wiring across multiple fleet configurations
- Simplifies installation with a central power and connection point
- Built-in LED indicators for fast troubleshooting and maintenance
- On-board fuses, relays, and labeled connections for “plug and play” integration
- Protects connected devices from voltage spikes through an integrated clamp diode
Centralized Power Distribution
PowerSmart™ delivers reliable, fused 12-volt power to a range of truck accessories and Certified Power Solutions control modules. With individually protected power contacts and integrated visual feedback, electrical management becomes simple, safe, and scalable.
System Highlights:
- 12V DC power system rated for up to 120 amps
- Individual fused circuits up to 30 amps each
- Red LED power indicators at each power point
- Dedicated outputs for accessory modules and pre-wet drivers
- “Ignition hot” wire enables automatic on/off with vehicle ignition
- Integrated clamp diode to protect against voltage surges
Sensor and Switch Integration
The PowerSmart™ system provides flexible connections for a variety of sensor and switch types, each with visual feedback to confirm status and power.
Sensor Inputs:
- Individually fused at 5 amps, with red LED power indicator
- Green LED indicates when the sensor state is active
Switch Interfaces:
- Each switch circuit fused at 10 amps
- Normally open and normally closed contact options
- Red LED indicates power; yellow or blue LEDs show circuit state
Control Relays:
- Each relay circuit fused at 10 amps
- Red LED for power and green LED for trigger state
- Normally open (yellow LED) and normally closed (blue LED) spade terminal
