DualSpread: Electronic Spreader Control System
DualSpread™ is a precise, easy-to-operate control system for snow and ice spreading applications. Designed for both granular and pre-wet materials, it delivers accurate open- or closed-loop control to help operators maintain consistent application rates across varying road and lane conditions.
DualSpread™ combines accuracy and versatility, giving fleets a reliable way to manage multiple materials, track data by type and route, and maintain compliance while optimizing material usage.
Accurate Application Control for Granular and Liquid Spreading
The DualSpread™ control system supports a wide range of winter spreading operations, from granular de-icing to liquid anti-icing and pre-wet applications.
System Capabilities:
- Three open- or closed-loop spreading channels for auger, spinner, and pre-wet functions
- Six programmable rates for granular and liquid applications
- Adjustable application modes for area (lbs/gal per lane mile) or distance (lbs/gal per mile) spreading
- Up to six types of granular and six types of liquid materials with customized rate settings for each
Data Logging and Material Tracking
DualSpread™ simplifies reporting with built-in data logging that tracks storm and seasonal totals, material usage, and application rates.
- Logs by material type, rate definition, and jurisdiction (state, county, or city roads)
- Separate storm and seasonal totals; storm totals are operator resettable
- Optional Data Shark™ with Drive by Download™ for wireless data transfer and simplified reporting
- AVL-ready and compatible with multiple radio and cellular AVL systems for connected fleet management
Operator Controls and Display Options
DualSpread™ is engineered for ease of use, giving operators control and feedback through a clear display and simple interface.
- White/blue backlit LCD (4 lines x 20 characters) for easy viewing in all conditions
- Audible buzzer and visual indicators for spreading alarms
- Seat- or pedestal-mount options for flexible installation
- Standalone system design for compact integration
